Microsoft Teams: Collaboration That Makes Production Easy

     Lori Wright, General Manager after brief introduction said: "Microsoft teams reached 125 thousand organizations within 6 months". The usage of skype doubled in comparison with its previous year.

     The first announcement is about skype in which they fundamentally changed the application. It has been improved to maximize the voice quality and Video & Meetings. Later they moved to their main topic i.e Microsoft Teams.

     The mission of Microsoft Teams is to empower the team to achieve more. Microsoft wants to make it as the core communication client for office 365 customers. Then Farren Roper, Senior Product Marketing Manager at Microsoft given the live demo of the application.

      They said that the application helps employees to have a conversation in groups by subject matter. To have conversations funnier they included GIFs with other third-party apps. The growbot acts like slack app which helps HR and leadership team.

     The main menu contains profile information, Activity, chat, teams, Meetings and files. The app is made to have the complete conversation within the team of any type of organizations. Since it supports smartphones the conversation and usage become easier and customer friendly.

     Profile info is almost as in the skype with designation and other professional details. Activity has your conversation history.

     Mark Pattier introduced the Chat app that provides you the complete conversation tools including calling service. It almost acts like embedded skype in the Microsoft Teams application. 

     The call application contains conversation history, Contacts, Voicemail and Keypad. The quality of voice is good at the conversation. It supports call hold facility as well.

     Meeting app supports video calls within the team. We can represent necessary presentations within meetings to make it healthier. It also supports power BI for beautiful report representation with meaningful insights. We can edit the files within the application in case of improvements.

     We must agree that it is not able to concentrate on everything in a meeting. So the MS Team help us with Meeting summary. It includes screen recording of Meeting highlights!. It helps us to review the meeting again for more clarification.

     At the end of Microsoft team presentation, Accenture team explained how the application helping their organization to enhance the quality of meetings even though employees were in different countries. Finally, the meeting ended up after Bob Davis conversation about office 365 improvements.
