     When I left India 30 Years ago there was no advanced technology at home we were fortunate to have closened families, good values, and a strong educational system but our career prospects were limited so like a lot of individuals in this room we came to the US to go to the graduate school, by contrast the silicon valley was growing rapidly and the opportunity everywhere the entrepreneurial spirit welcome anyone with a strong work effect and creative ideas today would nearly be impossible to point to a silicon valley company here without finding some leaders, engineers or business executives with Indian roots.

     In less than three decades what was the weak link between India and silicon valley has grown strong and it continues to expand every single day. We all know that India embrace of technology has already changed its destiny an unlike 30 years ago today's college graduates enjoy an abundance opportunity at home with the internet bringing closer together, India successfully competing in global markets with its greatest asset its people. India is now an undeniable force in engineering software development as well as services.

     The objective of the Digital India initiative lay the foundation for the next phase of innovation in the every sector in the Indian economy from government services to banking, from education to healthcare, mobile and beyond this is the type of leadership and vision that India needs in order to flourish in the digital era.
