Disruptive solution for Data starvation
On the 70th anniversary of Indian independence, Mukesh Ambani wants to give Indians freedom from data with affordable overall monthly charges and effectively free intelligent jio phone. We all know that jio is impacting the whole telecom industry, it's not enough for jio. A strong move by Reliance to prepare itself for next industrial revolution, Not only looking for better future but also for a consistent healthy business. The initial investment of jio is 2 lac crores which are almost equal to an overall investment of other top telecom industries. It aims to reach 99% of the Indian population in next 12 months through jio phones. Jio sim reached 100 million customers in just 170 days, the adoption is faster than Facebook !. Jio's Connectivity, data & phone affordability promising that it will reach maximum people with the very short span of time. To reach quicker Ambani planning to increase the touch points. They planned to have 10000 offices with 10 lac physical outlets in each and every state. They also avail in top most E-commerce platform.
Jio proved impossible possible
VoLTE is a globally unproven technology, which is implemented in very few countries. Even though it enables clear voice calls and data at the same time, I think it attracts huge investments. Since entrepreneurs believed the myth that India can never be the largest mobile data market in the world and Indian users will never convert paid, they kept themselves away from VoLTE. But with affordable charge, customer obsessed jio proved VoLTE is also a revenue generating business. This lead India to become #1 in data usage from its previous 155th position with 100 million paid users.
Bridging Data Divide
Since jio flowered out of VoLTE technology it ranked 1st in TRAI analysis for continuous 5 months w.r.t coverage, usage, and data quality. It took 25 years to build a healthy 2G network, but jio with its rapid adoption built within 3 years of time. With this technology usage of 4G will be more in India than 2G.
Jio Intelligent Phone
With an amazing Indian innovation, Jio trying to stun it;s customers. Hope jio phone will be a big blow to 'make in India'. We will get unlimited data access (might be capping to daily usage), Unlimited voice calls, and Unlimited access to Jio apps only for 153 Rupees. We have to pay 1500 rupees as a deposit which will be refundable after 36 months completely. So with an effective price of 0 rupees, we can buy jio phone. We can communicate with it either by using an alphanumeric keyboard or by voice commands. While preparing the product it's very clear that engineers built it based on Indian mobile usage and data usage traditions. It will enable data usage to more than 70 crore Indians. I think we can expect more smartphones from jio in near future. Even though all the features have to look over, as an initial product jio phone looks better than another phone of its price(1500 Rs.) range. They also enabling payment options on the phone. The product hits to market by September but we can pre-book from 24th August. Mukesh Ambani said it's a made in India, by Indians for all Indians.
Jio also providing Cables for TV to enjoy our favorite entertaining content on big screens. It's providing it for 309 Rs. per month plan where we can opt Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan offer with it.
